Yes. The E-IX app v2.4.1 for macOS is a universal binary that runs natively on both Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3 and later) and Intel Macs. It requires macOS 12 Monterey or later. Older macOS versions are not supported — if you are on macOS 11 Big Sur or earlier, consider using Clash Verge which may support slightly older system versions.
On first launch, macOS will ask you to approve a system extension and a VPN configuration in System Settings. This is normal — it is the same permission flow required by all proxy and VPN apps on macOS. The prompt appears once; subsequent launches do not require approval.
Yes, in most cases. E-IX installs its own VPN configuration profile in macOS Network Settings. If another VPN is active at the same time, only one can route traffic through its interface. Disconnect the other VPN before connecting E-IX to avoid routing conflicts.
